How it works
From your first submission to electronic filing
A clear, secure sequence so you always know what happens next.
Submitting your information through TaxPass does not mean your return has been filed. A return is filed only after an IPROTAX preparer completes it, you review and sign it, and you authorize electronic filing.
Begin through the IPROTAX Client Portal
Open the Client Portal page on this website and select Start My Tax Return or Returning Client Login.
Register or sign in to CrossLink TaxPass
You continue to the secure IPROTAX TaxPass page in a new browser tab and create an account with your email address, or sign in if you already have one.
Enter tax information and upload documents in TaxPass
TaxPass guides you through the interview questions and collects clear copies of your income and deduction documents.
IPROTAX retrieves the submitted information through CrossLink Desktop
Your TaxPass submission is delivered into our CrossLink tax-preparation software. This website does not store your tax documents or taxpayer identification numbers.
A tax professional reviews and prepares the return
An IPROTAX preparer reviews what you submitted, contacts you about missing or unclear items, and prepares the return.
The client reviews and signs the completed return
You receive the completed return for review and provide your signature authorization.
IPROTAX electronically files the return after client authorization
Filing happens only after you review the return and authorize submission.
The client receives filing-status updates
IPROTAX notifies you when the return has been transmitted and when the taxing authority accepts or rejects it.
